A better hair style for a balding man?

Unfortunately for him my housemate is losing his hair and my girlfriend reckons he鈥檇 look better with a different hairstyle. He鈥檚 only 26 and at the moment he kind of spikes it up on top the same way he always has since school. The trouble is it kind of accentuates the fact that it鈥檚 thinning and top of that his hair is fairly fine and light anyway so it isn鈥檛 a good look.





How should I broach the subject of a better hairstyle with him?





Are there any styles other than really short that might suit a man in his position? A side parting perhaps or a fringe?

He should keep it really short, like if he was in the military. That way he won't look like he's trying to hide his hair loss. Hair loss is natural for many of us. No need to stress over it.





Patrick Stewart is a good example of a great hair cut (although I doubt your housemate has the same hairline). Donald Trump is a really bad example of a comb over. Looks like cotton candy-hairy cotton candy, but cotton candy just the same.A better hair style for a balding man?

Actually, the best hairstyle for a man with a receeding hairline is ultra short, taking advantage of the hair you have left

I agree.. he should shave it off.. like a buzz cut .. which is really in these days.
My suggestion





1) Make sure the sides and the back are cut thinner or at the same level of his balding place. It will make it less obvious...





2) Go totally bald, thats sexier





3) If he tottally cool of being bald, tell him to make sure the place that arent bald to be neat and smart (You know, like professors). The only look that can worsen it up if he stays too long without any haircut.





4) Go to hair clinic.





Comb over is not cool. I assume you have seen bald people who like to comb over and they look kinda wearing wig? So dont do that...

I don't think you can tell him, though. He's going to need to realize that it looks bad on his own. He's probably already sensitive about it. Maybe you can start taking some pictures just for fun, and be sure to catch the top of his head in a bunch of them, and then he'll notice that it's time for a change.

i agree! bald IS beautiful! he should just shave the rest off. that's going to work the best. anything else is just going to accentuate the baldness and i'm sure he doesn't want that.
